Dr Nikunj Patel has always been passionate about providing the best quality care to his patients. He completed his Residency Training at Jersey Shore University Medical Center- Perth Amboy Division. His excellent performance during the training resulted in him being chosen as the Chief Resident. He joined the Community Medical Center, Toms River as the Hospitalist Physician after completion of his training. He demonstrated extraordinary skills and showed exemplary qualities as the frontline Doctor during the Covid Pandemic. He supported the staff during the Covid pandemic and boosted the morale of the staff during the pandemic crisis. Due to his distinguished work and commitment, he was awarded the “Hospitalist of the Year” award for the year 2020.
At Community Medical Center, he had been one of the founding members of the GME Work Group to establish the Residency Training programs and was an integral part of Internal Medicine Residency since inception. He went on to pursue his interests in Endocrinology Fellowship at the prestigious Jersey Shore University Medical Center and served as the Chief Fellow. During his fellowship training, he went to Cambodia as the volunteer to expand Endocrinology knowledge to the students and residents at Sonja Kill Memorial Hospital, Cambodia. His pleasant demeanor, diligent work ethic, positive attitude, exceptional knowledge and willingness to go an extra mile for his patients and the hospital staff made him one of the most admired, most respected and the most loved physician at the hospitals along the Jersey Shore region.
